Streamline the creation of notes in Productboard using Siri
Imagine you have a great idea for a product you are building using Productboard, but you are nowhere near your computer. How do you make sure you don’t forget it?
Sure, you can record your thoughts with a note-taking app, such as iOS Notes or Evernote, and then transfer the information to productboard at a later date. But this can be a fiddly, time-consuming process.
Thankfully, there’s a better way. Using iOS Shortcuts, together with Siri, you can record your ideas on the go – and automatically save them as notes in productboard.
See how it’s done in the video below!
What is iOS Shortcuts?
Two years ago, Apple acquired Workflow, an automation tool for the iPhone and iPad. Shortly after, they integrated the app into iOS and renamed it Shortcuts.
You can use Shortcuts to script actions on your Apple device, allowing you to perform complex processes across multiple apps in a single click.
For instance, you can create a shortcut to send your partner your ETA when you’re leaving the office. At your command, Shortcuts calculates the journey time using your navigation service, uses the data to compose a text message, and then sends it automatically.

Now, back to note-taking. By using Shortcuts together with Siri, you can add notes to productboard quickly and easily – all you have to do is say what’s on your mind! Siri turns your speech into text, which is then used to create a note in productboard. Simple!
To do this, you’ll need to set up a Zapier integration with a webhook as a trigger, and then connect it to your productboard account.
