Everyone loves OKRs… but what if you discover that it’s simply not an effective tool for your team? Are you out of luck?
In this talk, Rian will present an alternative to OKRs. He’ll show how his team combines several methods to set goals and run their business and product delivery process. The intention is not to start an argument about what is the best way to set goals. Instead, we hope this talk will spark some ideas and be useful to folks who have tried a bunch of different frameworks—including OKRs—and found that nothing quite worked for them.
Rian designs and builds high-quality software that people love to use. He also wrote a book about it called Making It Right. After spending several years working in Silicon Valley and Cape Town, South Africa, he is now Head of Postmark, working from Portland, OR.
