Identifying the areas of greatest need and attention from a product perspective requires teams to understand the landscape, have clear ways to make data-driven decisions, and determine how best to apply the available effort and resources of a product team towards an outcome. In this session, Ian will talk about some of the skills he learned from triaging casualties as part of a mountain rescue team and how they can be applied to product prioritization.
Ian is a contract delivery manager currently working with the NHS 111 online service, a triage tool used to help non-urgent patients be directed to the right healthcare for their needs. He has worked in the digital/IT space for over 20 years helping multi-disciplinary teams deliver services in a user-centred way.
