Communicate what’s coming up in future releases of your product. This visualization is ideal for planning milestones with a fixed scope or new versions of your product on a regular release schedule (e.g. mobile app).

Release Plan Roadmap is good for

Communicating about release objects which aren’t time-bound, e.g. a release object called “Mobile update 10.2”.
Teams which don’t release continuously, or which release less frequently.

We do not recommend Release Plan Roadmap for

Communicating about roadmaps which are time-bound, e.g. a release object called “October”. Consider using a Release timeline roadmap instead.
