Meet the Productboard team behind the transformation: solutions architect
Productboard’s global Professional Services team talks transformation
We’re here to answer some of your most pressing questions! As a team, the most frequently asked questions we get are “tell us what your other customers do?” or “what’s a best practice that you see?”
We’ll be sharing that and more over the next few weeks — find our first post with Denae Foster, engagement manager, here and meet our solutions architect below.
Meet Ozzy Gundogdu, Solutions Architect
Can you describe your role for us?
A solutions architect at Productboard is a partner you work closely with throughout your implementation journey, who will consult you on the best practices, challenge your existing product processes, and translate what’s optimal for your product organization in Productboard.
How does your role support a change program?
For a successful change, you first need confidence in the change (see the Productboard change management framework here). My role as a solutions architect is to ensure that the change revolves around best implementation and product management best practices. When the change is there to improve the lives of everyone in the organization, it becomes inevitable, and therefore easy to manage. Nothing makes me happier than finding custom solutions for our customers’ unique use cases and giving them the confidence to embrace the change that will often revolutionize the way they work.
What advice would you give a customer undergoing a transformation?
Start small, dream big. Think of the change as if it’s a product. ‘Start with the end in mind’ and don’t be afraid to take your first steps. Failing and using your failure to find success is a part of the process. Your solutions architect will consult you and guide you through the many design decisions you will have to make to be successful. There are sometimes no right or wrong decisions, but when there are, making the wrong one can quickly show you the way to the right one with the help of your solutions architect. That will lead you to have the confidence you need to make the management of this change a breeze.
Favorite PB functionality?
Feature Follows and Notifications – as someone working directly with customers, I get many feature requests from them daily. After turning the feedback I receive into Insights, I follow them closely as they make it to our product backlog. Following the features in our backlog, requested by my customers, and getting notified with every step closer to the feature release is just priceless.
Fun fact?
I used to sing in a metal band.
