Key takeaways from the 2022 product makers salary survey report

Compensation in product is tricky and knowing where you are compared to peers can be helpful when evaluating your current compensation or even new opportunities.

What we’ve consistently heard from our product makers community is a need for clearer benchmarks and increased compensation transparency to help you make better decisions.

In 2022 (September 1 to November 30), we surveyed our community and other communities to gather insights into compensation and 607 people shared their input in our first-ever salary survey. We looked at factors such as company size, years of experience, job title, industry, and demographic and regional differences.

Key takeaways from the 2022 Product Makers Salary Survey report:

  2. Seniority and location can affect compensation, but there are trade-offs
  3. Collectively leaders and companies need to do more to level the compensation field and provide equity
